Years ago, on a whim, I decided to e-mentor a teenager living in poverty in South Africa. Since then my "son" and I have shared an epic journey -- not only personally but literally, as we enjoyed a US road trip in 2019 to mark ten years together. We're a global family in a time when the world is rife with conflict and division.
